Sports Festival 体育祭

These pictures were taken during the Satte Junior High sport’s festival. Some of the highlights include the club relay, which forced students to run a 400 m relay wearing or carrying various club paraphernalia. You can see kids dressed in their Kendo armor, and students holding their band instruments. The kids in the computer club had to carry a full-sized keyboard during the run. Of course they came in dead last, helping to sustain the nerdy stereotypes. I was really rooting for them too. At least they had the decency to let the poor tuba girl sit this one out.
